![]() ![]() During busy periods authorised leave will NOT be authorised, even when you give at least 3 weeks notice. You also work 5 Saturdays out of 6 and have to work bank holidays. You're contracted to do upto 48hrs per week but you could work upto 55hrs per week due to the workload and not get paid overtime for exceeding working hours. They "manage" the project and are constantly pushing more jobs on the teams (was 3 installs per day, now upto 5 installs per day for no extra pay!) Morale got so low that a request was made to have crisis talks and they just ignored the request. Unfortunately this was short lived and went rapidly down hill for the following reasons (1) - Project managers. Early days of the project we're fine as had a decent manager and good team of lads. My role involved installing Fibre in North Yorkshire. Wonder why they have this in place… people would run off after a week of dealing with this stress for peanuts. They have a policy where if you leave before 9 months they will charge you a good amount of money for the absolute rubbish training they give you. ![]() So many better paying jobs out there for the same skills. Works out to be less than 9£/h if you get behind with jobs. You will be on 24.4k after 6 months of probation period. They will stop replying to your phone calls or emails and get rude when you ask about your pay, they will try to deduct as much as they can from your wages for van or stock missing when you leave. Management has been ok during the time I was there but wait until you hand your notice in. Training in the office is not the best, you will be expected to do some stuff you’ve never learned. Some jobs can take you longer than others but management will expect you to finish your jobs before you start heading home. Routes are not well planned, unnecessary mileage and time consuming jobs. ![]() Avoid if you want to have a social balanced life, you will be required to work 10h a day with more driving to do than a delivery driver. ![]()
